Being scared of the dark is a uniquely human issue. Many cultures celebrate light
and the effect it has on people. Diwali is the Indian festival of light. Make a
diya (a kind of lamp), learn about rangoli and the beautiful bright colors so prevalent in Indian art and culture. You’ll also hear a story about the
beautiful saris worn by Indian women.
